Overview
The GotSport Live App has a simple and fast function for goal and event reporting. This feature is only available in age groups with result reporting, and the reporting can only be done by a Team Admin.
The default setting is that the home team is responsible for the goal and event reporting of the game, but through communication between the teams, the responsibility can be redistributed if necessary.
Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to the game page in the App
- Your team’s games can be found in the game calendar at the top right of the app's home page, in your home feed, and you can also find the game page via your team's or league's page.
Step 2: Click the + sign and select "Create Goal and Event Report"
- In the reporting row at the bottom of the game page, there is a + sign to the right. Select "Create Goal and Event Report" from the menu and specify the game settings:
- Number of halves/periods of the game
- Length (minutes) of the halves/periods
- Overtime Yes/No (overtime period length in minutes)
- Penalties Yes/No
- After you have specified the above, click "Start Event Reporting". You can also click "Report Final Result" at the bottom if you only want to report a final score.
What if someone else is already reporting?
If someone else is already doing the reporting, you will get a notification about this. It is possible to either take over the event reporting from that person, or start your own event report. Often it is better to take over the event report rather than starting a new one.
Step 3: Start reporting by clicking the blinking "Kick off"
If you want you can add a comment before the game starts. After clicking the blinking "Kick off" you will be sent to the game view where you can see that the game clock has started.
Goal and event reporting
If something happens during the game that you want to add to the report, click the clock to display the report menu. If you click one of the events (except "Comment"), the first step will be to choose which team to do the reporting.
Report a goal
To report a goal, click "Goal" and choose the minute of the goal, the goal scorer (if you didn't see who scored it is also possible to choose Unknown), who assisted the goal. You can also add a comment to the goal if you want.
After clicking "Save" in the top right corner, the result will update and the goal information will be added to the feed.
Report a card
To report a card, click "Card" and first choose the type of card (yellow or red). Then adjust, if needed, the game minute when the card was given and add the player who got the card. You can also add a comment to the card if you want.
After clicking "Save" in the top right corner, the card will be updated to the feed.
Report a substitution
To report a substitution, click "Substitution" and choose the minute of the substitution, who is coming in, and who is going out. You can also add a comment to the substitution if you want.
After clicking "Save" in the top right corner, the substitution will be updated to the feed.
End first half
To end the first half, press the button "End 1st" in the top right window of the event reporting. You can also add a comment to summarize the game in the first half if you want.
After clicking "Save" in the top right corner, the black framed text "First half end" will be added to the feed.
Start second half
To start the second half, press the button "Start 2nd" in the top right window of the event reporting. After clicking, the green framed text "Second half start" will be added to the feed and the clock starts.
Edit an event
If you need to edit an event, simply press the three dots in the downright corner of the event card. By doing so you can either edit, report, or delete the reported event.
End of the second half
To end the second half, press the button "End 2nd" in the top right window of the event reporting. After clicking, you will get a message that asks if you want to mark the game finished (in the case of overtime or penalties the end of the second half will not mean that the game is finished). You can also add a comment to summarize the game if you want.
After clicking "Save" in the top right corner, the black framed text "Final whistle" will be added to the feed.
