Q: What is GotSport Live and how does it work?
- GotSport Live is an app and media platform that enables all teams to get top-class user-generated coverage from their games with live streaming, highlights, live scores, pictures, videos, lineups, and more. With GotSport Live, any game at any level can get the same content and coverage as the big ones!
- With easy-to-use smartphone apps for iOS and Android, someone in a team admin or team reporter role can stream live, create a live ticker with goals and game events, tag highlights, upload pictures, and more. Family, friends, and fans can follow the action from wherever they are, comment, and cheer for their team 🙌.
- GotSport Live is free to use for all teams, clubs, and events that are registered in the GotSport system.
- The GotSport Live platform also enables teams, clubs, and events to generate new revenue with built-in digital sponsorship opportunities, tailored marketing campaigns, and a revenue share for streamed games.
Q: How do we get started with GotSport Live and get our team ready?
- All tournaments, leagues, clubs, teams, and games in the GotSport system are already synced with GotSport Live. So you are ready to go right from the start!
- Everyone who is a team staff member (Coach or Manager) in the GotSport system automatically becomes an admin for the team when you create your user account and connect to your profile on GotSport Live. Team admins can upload team photos, adjust team settings, invite other team members, and much more.
- As a Team Staff Member (Manager or Coach) of a team in the GotSport system, you will receive an email with a personal link to connect your roles on GotSport Live. If you haven't received an email, you can still get started. Make sure to update your user profile in the GotSport competition system with the correct email address and mobile phone number, and you will automatically be linked to your roles when you log in.
Q: Who can report live or livestream from games?
- Everyone at the game can help out by uploading photos, videos, and text comments via the app, and everyone at home can follow the game and cheer.
- The live streaming, live ticker with goal and game events, as well as rosters and lineups, can only be done by Team Admins (Manager or Coach) or the designated Team Reporters.
- All Team Admins can easily assign Team Reporter permissions to an engaged parent or injured player under the Team Reporters tab on the team page.
Q: How does the livestreaming on GotSport Live work?
- Anyone who has a Team Admin or Team Reporter role in their team, can livestream the game from the app with their smartphone, or with external camera equipment.
- It's easy to livestream, and the app automatically adds to the scoreboard from the goal & events reporting. Everyone viewing the match can comment and cheer via the social features. Read more about the live streaming in the below guide:

Q: What is the cost of live streams?
- It is free for all teams to stream their games, but viewers need to pay to watch the live streams and replays.
- For the first two months all viewing will also be free of charge. After that Prices are $5 for a single game ticket, $10 for a monthly subscription with unlimited viewing, and $96 for an annual pass with unlimited viewing.
- When purchasing a monthly subscription or annual pass, the user can choose a team that will receive a share of the user payment This means that part of the live stream revenue goes to the team and is paid out from GotSoccer LLC to the club.
Q: Does the app work on any operating system?
- The app works on the latest Android and iOS operating systems and can be downloaded on Google Play or Apple App Store.
- There is also a web application for desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers available on gotsportlive.com.
Q: How old do you have to be to create an account?
- If you are under the age of 13, you cannot create your account.
- Children under the age of 13 must appoint a parent or guardian who will provide consent through their user account and become the person responsible for the child's account.
Q: Is there any support if I have problems with the app on my phone?
- We do not offer support for hardware devices, the user is responsible for this. With regard to the functions of the app, we offer support to the usual extent.
- The best thing to do is to submit a support ticket through GotSport's platform on a desktop/laptop and, if possible, enclose screenshots of the problem you have encountered as well as information about the device you are using.
Q: Is the app only available in American English?
- Yes, for the time being, the app is only available in American English, but there are plans to add more language support in the future.
Q: What happens if someone reports the wrong result in GotSport Live, will there be an error in the table rankings?
- No, the official results that update the tables are entered into the GotSport system approved by the event admin, and then transferred to GotSport Live. So even if someone made a mistake in the live reporting, the official result will come in later.
Q: How do I find other teams I want to follow?
- Press "Discover" in the app's main menu at the bottom
- Type the name of the club into the search bar at the top of the Discover page
- Search for the team's, league's, or coach's name to find the team you want to follow in the listing of the club's teams.
Q: How can I find out who are team admins?
- Find your team's page and navigate to the "Admins" tab. Here you can see all persons who are in the team admin role.
- To become a Team Admin or Team Reporter, you need to be added by someone who has the Team Admin role.
Q: How do I set up different push notifications for different teams?
- Go to the team page under Following in the app main menu at the bottom. On the team page there is a Notification icon (the clock), and pressing it takes you to the notification settings for that team.
- You can adjust your notifications to send at the start of the match, goal-by-goal, at the final whistle, etc.
Q: Is it possible to follow a league/event/competition?
- Yes, you can follow a division/group/bracket in a league, event, or competition without following the individual teams.
- Search for the competitions you want to follow in the search bar on the Discover tab in the main menu at the bottom of GotSport Live. Then, click on the Follow button located in the top right corner of the division/group/bracket page.
- After that, you will find all of the event games in the Game Calendar at the top right of the app, and also in your personalized home feed on the app start page.
Q: What's the difference between Home/Discover?
- Under "Home", personalized content will appear that is displayed based on the teams and leagues you follow. Posts are displayed chronologically with the newest games and posts on top.
- Under "Discover" you will find other content from teams and leagues you are not following.
Security and Data
Q: How does GotSport Live work with regard to data protection acts?
- GotSport Live complies with the applicable data protection guidelines. It also includes new innovative features to give players, staff, and parents of young players control over what information is published beyond the basic information required to run the game.
Q: What do we do if someone on our team has a protected identity?
- If you have someone with a protected identity on your team, you can update your team settings in the app to not allow pictures or video from your matches. This means that the app's photo and video features will be disabled on games that your team is playing.
Q: How old do you have to be to create a user account?
- If you are 13 years and younger, you cannot create your user account.
- However, you can send a request to your parent/guardian to give their consent via their user account on GotSport Live.
Q: How can parents control what information is shown about their children?
- Guardians of players up to the age of 13 will receive an invitation to create their account and set privacy settings for their child.
Q: What can I do if I don't want a photo attached to my child?
- Guardians of players up to the age of 13 are invited to create their accounts and set privacy settings for their children. For example, the parent can control whether or not to display a profile picture publicly.
Q: Is it possible to hide user comments in a game feed?
- In the game feed, you can choose whether to show or hide comments created by users who follow the game. By default, user comments are shown, but you can choose to hide comments by clicking "Hide user comments". If you want to show comments again, you click "Show users comments".
- Video, images, and game reports cannot be hidden, they are always shown.
Q: What happens if someone writes something inappropriate or uploads an inappropriate picture?
- Should you discover something inappropriate, you can report the comment/picture by tapping on the three dots next to the post and selecting "Report". Inappropriate posts will be removed.
- Since each individual is required to have an account, posted content can be traced.
- Users who behave inappropriately may be suspended by the regulations of the General Terms and Conditions of Service.
Q: Who owns and provides the app?
- The administrator of the app and controller of all data is GotSoccer LLC. The technology is licensed from the Swedish sportstech company Sportswik AB.
