Overview:
This article will demonstrate how you can schedule a livestream, using external equipment. Choose this option when you are going to set up a live stream in advance or at the start of the match using external camera equipment.
Instructions:
Step 1:
- Within the App, navigate and find the match that you want to set up the Livestream Schedule for
- Your team’s games can be found in the match calendar at the top right of the app's home page, in your home feed, and you can also find the match page via your team's or league's page.
Step 2:
- Press the + sign
- Select Plan Livestream
- Select "From External Equipment"
- This creates a scheduled livestream that lands at the top of the game's feed and shows the time until the live stream starts.
Step 3:
- Press "Handle & Start Livestream" to view settings for the external equipment
- Tap the gear icon to the right of the text under "Stream Settings" to display the Stream URL and Stream Key. You will input these keys into the external camera equipment that you are using.
Step 4:
- If the external camera equipment starts live streaming within 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the match, the default setting is that the live stream goes out to viewers immediately.
- If you want, you can adjust the scheduled publication time from 0 min to 30 min before the scheduled match. You can configure this by clicking "Shown to viewers"
Step 5:
- Make sure that you have entered the Stream URL and Stream Key into the external camera equipment and started live streaming from it.
- Check the preview by clicking "Preview". The stream from the external equipment is displayed in the preview window.
Step 6:
- Wait for the scheduled start time, or send it out to viewers right away
- If you want to send the stream out earlier than the scheduled time, press the red button.
Step 7:
- The transmission stops automatically when the external equipment stops transmitting.
- You don't have to go in and finish anything in GotSport Live.
