Overview
Creating a Tryout program provides a quicker registration process for players who could potentially get sent an invitation to register with the club. This process is beneficial because it allows the players to register without being assigned an official role in the club. Additionally, it can bypass any Governing Body required forms and payment. If the player successfully makes the team/club, the admin can then send a registration link to register with the club officially, as well as place them onto an internal rostering event to prep for the upcoming seasonal year.

Instructions
Step 1.
- From the Admin view you will go to Programs > Program List > New Program
- Seasonal Year: 2024/2025 tryouts should have a 2024/2025 seasonal year.
- Accounting Code: The admin can put "tryout" if you do not charge a tryout fee, or input your specific accounting code if a fee is charged for the seasonal year so the money will be categorized correctly.
- Merchant Account: Only required if charging a fee.
Step 2.
- Open your registration, configure any other settings you prefer, select "Tryout", then Save
- "Skip Required Forms" will skip the governing association's required forms for this registration. NOTE** Our recommendation is to have this checked on for a tryout, as most admins do not want to manage forms for players who do not participate or accept an invitation. When you offer invitations for the players to complete the official registration, they will be required to fill out the required governing body forms in that program when paying their fees.
Note*** When selecting tryout, you will have the option to activate the player's role immediately when they've completed the registration. Select "Automatically Activate Roles" if you want to create the players role at the time of the tryout. Our recommendation is to leave this unselected to not have roles created for these players due to it only being a tryout.
Step 3.
