Overview
A User is defined by someone who uses the GotSport system, but is not considered a Player, Coach, or Manager. Perhaps a Scheduling Coordinator or a Billing Administrator. The below article will demonstrate how to search and add users to your club/organization.
Instructions
Step 1:
- From the Dashboard, click on the Users tab.
- Click Add User.
Step 2:
- To search, you have two options:
- If you know the user has an existing GotSport account, input their email/UserID, First/Last Name, DOB, and Zip Code and click Search. If the information is correct and the system finds a match, the user will be automatically added to the club/organization. This will bypass the email invitation.
-
- If you don't know all of the information, you can input only the email/userID.
- Click Search, and if an existing account is associated with that ID, you can click the Request Role Approval button. This will send an email invitation for the user to accept.
- If no accounts are associated with that email, you'll be prompted to create a new account.
Role Definitions
-
-
An Admin will have the ability to overwrite and make changes based on the checkboxes you give them access to. For example, you could assign the club treasurer as an admin role and give them access to the Billing module within the club, and not Club Management or Scheduling.
-
A Reader will have admin access, but will not be able to make any changes to user accounts.
-
An Assignor role is used for the user assigning referees to events.
-
A Ticket Scanner is someone who scans tickets using the Got Ticketing System.
-
Step 3:
- Check the boxes for the modules you want the admin to have access to and click Save.
- NOTE*** Leaving all of the boxes unchecked will leave the user with Full Access to all modules.
- The boxes that are left unchecked will not be visible to the admin. For example, if the Billing module is not selected, the user will have the Billing tab to even click on.
- You can also designate the user as a Primary Contact for a specific role within your organization. In the below example, the Risk Management Coordinator is also the Safeguarding Compliance Contact for the club.
Step 4:
- Click Save
