Overview:
This article will demonstrate how a Club Administrator can create a new team, and lock the roster so a Manager/Coach can not make any changes to the roster. You will need to unlock the roster before you can make changes too.
NOTE*** If you don't see similar screens as below, please check your permissions and verify you have the role of an Administrator.
Instructions:
Step 1:
- From the Dashboard page, click on the "Teams" module
- If you have the Default Dashboard layout, you can also click the "Club Management" drop-down and select "Teams" from the drop-down list.
Step 2:
- Click the "New Team" button on the right.
- A new screen will appear.
- Here you will fill out the basic information and select the team's Affiliation.
- Be sure to select the Competitive Level, and the Team Affiliations
- When complete, click "Save".
- NOTE*** Be sure to create the Team Age as the CURRENT seasonal year. Team ages will automatically be updated on August 1st when the new Seasonal Year starts.
Your Team Account is now created.
To Lock Roster Functions for Coaches/Managers:
Step 3:
- Find the team in your team's list and mark off the "Box" to the left of the team.
- Here you will click on "Toggle Roster Lock."
- The next screen will show you options to lock /unlock roster editing and/or club pass editing.
NOTE**The Red Circle on the right shows there is no "lock" icon since the team is not locked yet.
Step 4:
- Click "Roster Editing Locked" and hit "Save".
- Once this is done you will now see the Lock Icon to the right of the Team Name.
