Overview:
This article will show you how to fix a Social Security Number error on a background check.
Instructions:
For security reasons all SSN data is hidden since it is encrypted. To correct this issue, please follow these steps in order.
Step 1:
- Click on Dashboard-->Account--> Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Delete" button next to your citizenship.
Step 2:
- After you click the red Delete button, hit Save.
Step 3:
- You can then click on "Add Citizenship" and enter the correct SSN, then hit save.
- Once completed, the system will update your SSN in the next batch of checks sent to the provider, usually within a few hours. Note that the Government ID is the only field that you need to update, and the SSN will not appear as this data is encrypted.
