Overview
Learn how to make changes to a roster when you get the Roster Source error - This error means the event is pulling a team roster from an Official Association, State, or League Registration roster.
Instructions
If you receive the following error message…
"Team registration’s Roster Source event is not the current event you’re viewing. You cannot modify or add primary users to this roster unless you’re viewing it from within the team registration’s Roster Source event"
It means the event is pulling team rosters from a specific “Roster Source” or “Single Source Roster” - typically this is an Official Association, State, or League Registration Event Roster that you have previously registered.
To make any changes to the current roster and have them reflected accordingly, you must locate the actual “Source Roster” and make changes to it.
To find the "Source Roster" open the Team Management Module > go to Teams > click on the Team Name.
Open the "Rosters" tab and select the Event from the "Event Roster" drop-down menu and click "Search".
You can now see which "Source Roster" the event is pulling from - in the example below it is the NorCal Premier - 2021-2022 US Club Soccer Registration/Passcards & Rosters
Go back to "Roster Builder" in the Club Management Module > select the "Source Roster" from the drop down menu > Click Submit.
You can now modify the roster and have the changes reflected for the event.
NOTE: If you are not able to make changes to the “Source Roster”, you will need to reach out to the respective organization/affiliation managing the specific event roster or “Roster Source” to assist and/or to approve any of updates/changes that need to be made.
