The key to communication in the GotSport Team App is organized spaces called channels. Below are channels set up by the system and users are added/retired according to their membership groups in GotSport (Athletes, Coaches, Managers, Parents).
- Full Team Chat (All users on that team)
- Coaches Chat (Only users in coaches group)
- Parents Chat (Only users in parents’ group)
- Coaches/Manager Chat (users in coaches & manager group)
Respond faster with emoji, keep conversations focused in channels, and simplify all your communication into one place.
If you have a question for a specific teammate or user, you can mention them in a channel to get their attention (@mikegosselin). They’ll receive a notification, and the rest of the team can follow along for context.
- As you write a message, touch the @symbol
- Enter the member's name or select one from the list of members. You can repeat this step for every person you’d like to mention in your message.
- Send your message.
If you want all users in a channel to receive a notification, then use (@channel).

- Touch @channel Notify everyone and all users in the channel will get a notification.
- Send your message.
